Greetings from Africa!
I am sorry for not blogging recently, the internet is really bad. We have wireless internet in our house, but the server is always down. I decided to purchase a modem that I can plug into my computer and I can get internet anywhere in the country. Although it is pretty expensive to use. Lots have happened since the last update.
This weekend I was able to see my 4 friends: Paul, Maxwell, Phillip, and Henry. They had a celebration at their house in Cape Coast where I first stayed. I am going to see them tonight. We will be celebrating with them because tonight marks the first night of silence for them. They are taking the next step in becoming a brother. They will be taking a year of silence starting tonight. This means that I most likely will not be able to talk to them for a year. Although there are certain occasions, but very rarely.
Teaching has been going very well. I have created my lesson plan tomorrow, which includes using my laptop. I believe that this will keep the kids more excited about class. I am thinking about traveling around Ghana more than I had expected. I don’t have any details yet, but I will be sure to let you all know.
I am excited, that in just 2 weeks, I will be seeing a good friend of mine. He is a priest in the north eastern region. I have known him for almost 10 years. In fact, he was at my home in Minnesota right before I left for Ghana.
I will be sure to update again soon!
Sorry about your internet connection. We wish you the best in all your endeavors. I am sure everyone is appreciating your service and time. God bless you Steven!!!!!
